I have realized that most web design businesses charge up to $500 for a site, even a poorly designed site, then add at least $70.00 per year for hosting, and sometimes an additional fee for domain registration. They will also charge for search engine optimization, so the site appears at the tops of search results on Google and Yahoo.

The only additional fee I will charge is $20 annually for hosting/domain renewal after the first two years.

This may seem like a deal that is too good to be true, but I have cut through the clutter and overcharges, realizing that most people just want a simple website, with information about their business, services, phone number, location and other contact information. It is not really that hard to create an attractive site with that information.

I work from home, so have no overhead. It takes me about an hour to create a site such as this one you are viewing now. I host the site myself, not through a third party. So choosing Pittsboro Web Design is a no brainer.

Here is how the process works. I require four things from a client: logo, a photo representing business, list of products/services and two paragraphs about the business. I then design the site. If the client likes it, I request ftp username and password so I can upload site to the server..or I can e-mail files and the client can do this.

I then require payment via paypal or personal check.
